Medallion Packaging or Physical Testing Technician – Jr Level – Aequor Technologies, Inc.

We are seeking a Packaging Engineer to provide technical leadership and knowledge for our businesses. The Packaging Engineer will be a part of a fully integrated cross-functional team, working closely with R&D Platforms, Sourcing, Quality, Engineering, Marketing and Operations. The team is responsible for identifying and advancing top opportunities for cost savings and innovation. In this role you will be focused on successfully delivering against key projects, generating new ideas, and supporting key system needs at our production facilities while maintaining high quality standards for our materials.

Responsibilities
In this role you will:
• Ensure the safety and quality of our food through product, package, and process design
• Create new, improve existing, and eliminate waste from products, packaging, and processes
• Collaborate with internal business partners in Quality and Regulatory Operations, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Marketing, Finance, and Consumer Insights to build and grow our businesses
• Engage external partners around the world to increase efficiency and to identify relevant new capabilities
• Interact with consumers and customers to develop meaningful insights and translate them into product and package concepts, prototypes, and scale up through commercialization
• Leverage scientific training while developing business-specific technical depth
• Develop technical depth and business acumen
• Impact people’s lives and communities around the world

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Chemical, Engineering – Mechanical, or Engineering – Packaging
• 1 – 2 years full time work experience preferred
• Technical packaging material knowledge and/or strong desire to expand material knowledge
• Ability to lead projects independently in a fast-paced environment while delivering results.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to apply engineering principles and statistics to solve problems and make data-based decisions
• Basic knowledge of designing packaging for distribution, channel, and customer requirements.
• Ability to understand and apply machine material interactions through the design process.
• Knowledge of packaging material testing for specification creation and trouble shooting.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm CST (40 hours)
Potentially traveling out of state, not out of the country
